This profile lets you use MochiFitter to re-target an outfit from a different base to Stray all within Unity. Enjoy and have fun!

I mainly use Shinano as my primary target source for outfits. Please understand that MochiFitter has limitations and the conversion isn't perfect. It's a popular method for fitting outfits without Blender.

OVERVIEW

  • Install MochiFitter
  • Install this profile
  • Convert an outfit
  • Add the converted prefab to Stray

USAGE

Setup

  • Create a Unity project with Stray 1.1.12 installed
  • Install MochiFitter (https://yamirin.booth.pm/items/7657840)
  • Import this profile unitypackage
  • Install the MochiFitter profile for the avatar the outfit was made for (I use Shinano which is provided by the addon)
  • Keep Stray's FBX in its default location. MochiFitter may not detect it if the folder or filename is changed.


Conversion

  • Open Tools > MochiFitter
  • Drag the outfit prefab into Outfit to Convert
  • Confirm that the source avatar and Stray are set correctly
  • Click Retarget
  • When the conversion finishes, click OK
  • Find the generated prefab in: Assets/OutfitRetargetingSystem/Outputs
  • Drag the generated prefab onto the top-level Stray object in the Hierarchy
  • Add or adjust Modular Avatar, VRCFury, and other outfit components as needed (Toggle, Blendshape Link, Mesh Cutter, etc)
