The VRChat Air Hockey Asset brings fast-paced, physics-based air hockey to your world with networked gameplay, synchronized scoring, automatic resets, configurable sound effects, and a polished custom table ready for players to battle over.

What It Can Do

• Fully playable two-player air hockey
• Network-synchronized scores and game state
• Grab-able physics paddles
• Physics-based puck movement and collisions

• Out-of-bounds puck recovery
• Reset button for starting a new game
• Automatically returns paddles to their starting positions
• Forces held paddles to drop when a new game begins
• Uses VRCObjectSync for synchronized puck and paddle respawning

Synchronized Scoring

Both sides of the table display the current score, allowing players to clearly see the game state from either position.

When a goal is scored:

• The correct player’s score increases
• Every player sees the updated score
• The puck returns to its starting position
• The configured scoring sound plays
• The game automatically ends when someone reaches the winning score

The default winning score can be changed directly from the Unity Inspector.

Included Sound Effects

The system includes configurable audio slots for:

• Game start
• Scoring
• Game completion
• Puck collisions
• Puck resets
• Out-of-bounds events
• Ownership failure feedback
• Optional looping audio while a game is active

Each sound can be replaced with your own audio clips to better match the style of your world.

Automatic Game Reset

Starting a new match will:

• Reset both scores to zero
• Begin the synchronized game state
• Drop any paddles currently being held
• Return the paddles to their starting positions
• Respawn the puck
• Start the active-game audio loop
• Play the configured game-start sound

This makes it easy for new players to walk up and immediately begin another match.
