DFS is a real-time GPU fluid simulation that runs entirely on your avatar with support for mesh collisions on yourself and any nearby players who also have DFS collisions on their own avatar.

FEATURES:

  • Up to 4 unique fluids with different materials and fluid properties.
  • Up to 8 fluid emitter sources with animatable shapes, emission speeds, and emission amounts.
  • Up to 65k particles rendered in your simulation at one time.
  • Customization for optimized 4k particles in close range or up to 65k particles with long range.
  • Optional smaller particles for more detailed fluid simulations.
  • Simple collision setup that adds 1 material to simple meshes or duplicates complex meshes to allow for full collision with particles.
  • Customizable box renderer that allows for a larger or smaller collision area to support you and others to collide with your DFS particles.
  • Support for animation of particle sources, visuals, physical properties, and global modifiers such as gravity and simulation speed.
  • Ability to preview DFS particles and collisions within Unity.

FAQ:

Q: Can other players see the fluids?
A: Yes! However, they must have your avatar fully shown as the DFS Rig uses Camera components.

Q: Do I have to make my own animations to use DFS on my avatar?
A: Nope! DFS will auto-setup several animations on any fluid source you place on your avatar if you choose that option in the Setup panel.

Q: Is VRCFury required to add DFS to my avatar?
A: No, VRCFury is not required but it is HIGHLY recommended otherwise DFS will manually add layers and parameters to your avatar's FX layer.

Q: Will this addon lag my game or others?
A: It has been heavily optimized, but older GPUs can struggle more and it's not recommended to use DFS in instances with large amounts of people.

Current Limitations:

Collisions only work between avatars with DFS materials & the flat floor plane generated below your avatar. There are no world collisions.

Avatar scaling is currently not supported with DFS 1.0 but may be supported in the future.
